Be the Boss of Your Processes
Treat yo'self with a CEO Day! Why is this important? We often get so caught up in the day to day of our businesses, that we forget to be the CEOs. We need to make sure we're taking care of every aspect of our businesses, including ourselves!
How can you do it? Follow these simple steps. Block a day, yeah a whole day. When's the last time you did that? Then make a plan! Do you want to get a fancy coffee, eat lunch out or maybe get a massage?? Plan something fun that will actually be a treat on your CEO day in addition to business stuff. (Trust me, I made this mistake and it was the most exhausting day of my life!)
Sit and think. What feels good, what feels bad? What are you doing well, what are you neglecting? Reflecting on your business and how it fits into your life first will help you center your thoughts about where you're going.
Pick one thing to go all in. You can't tackle everything, so identify what will have the most impact on your business (or life) and do that. It could be a roadmap, building out a new service, or reconfiguring your schedule. Whatever it is, you'll walk away from the day with one thing done!
Incorporate it. Plan how you'll use this "new thing" in your business. We've all been to a million workshops where we never use the thing we created. That's because there's no plan. If you determine how to actually use your great idea, I promise it will happen.
Pencils down. That's it. Don't keep going. Once you're done, take the rest of the day to do whatever the fuck you want.

I recently started asking people what's the one song you have to turn up really loud whenever you hear it?
Mine is "Mr. Jones" by Counting Crows.
This isn't my favorite song by a long shot, but for some reason whenever I hear it, I have to turn it up and often start dancing.
